Demonstrates knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, range of treatment, and care of patients appropriate to the ages of patients served.
Promotes customer service initiative.
Provides clinical services of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation for designated inpatient or outpatient population requiring wound healing & hyperbaric care.
Assessment: Initiate patient nursing assessment, organize and record assessment data with accuracy and completeness; promote prompt compliance to wound healing clinical pathway.
Planning: Document a plan of care, collaborate with the physician, prioritize problems, formulate desired outcomes, identify home needs and patient teaching needs, implement wound healing and HBO protocols, and coordinate services with other disciplines
Evaluation: In collaboration with the physician, revise the plan of care, complete re-evaluation timely, ensure clinical pathway adherence, and participate in quality improvement/staff meetings.
Function as a case manager.
Prepare for clinic and assist others within clinic.
Maintain open, professional communication with patients, physicians, and staff.
Maintain skills and knowledge through continuing education.
Support and adhere to hospital policy and procedures.

Current RN licensure
Current BLS (or obtain prior the completion of orientation)
Knowledge in principles of patient education
Academic preparation and/or experiential preparation in wound care.
Academic preparation and/or experiential preparation in the care of persons with a chronic disease.
