FNP – Physician Services

Requirements:

 Masters Degree in Nursing composing twelve to twenty-four months of specialized classroom and experiential learning as a nurse practitioner.
 A minimum of one year related clinical experience
 Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice. Extensive knowledge of physical assessment, differential diagnosis, pathophysiology, pharmacology and management of acute and chronic patient/family problems.
 Current licensure as required by the State of Tennessee to practice as a Nurse Practitioner – Certification (or eligibility to sit for certification exam) by an accepted professional national organization as a Family Nurse Practitioner is required. Completion of the certification should be completed within 6 months of employment as a nurse practitioner.
 Substantial interpersonal skills necessary to instruct patients and their families and to collaborate with health team members.
 Strong customer relations skills required.
 Current RN licensure

S.H.I.P Program – Student Healthcare Intership Program

NorthCrest Medical Center is proud to present the 2014 Student Healthcare Internship Program, (S.H.I.P.), which will set sail on June 16th and end on July 25th. This five-week summer program offers rising high school students (ages 14-17) the opportunity to gain relevant healthcare exposure and marketable job skills. The program allows rotations in various clinical departments where students are exposed to healthcare occupations and are allowed to learn the intricate daily operations of their community medical facility.
