NorthCrest Hospice and the NorthCrest Medical Center Foundation’s
9th Annual Night on the Town
-Fact Sheet-
When/Where: Thursday, March 31st, 5:30p.m. – 9:00p.m. / The Center, Springfield, TN
Theme: This year’s theme is A USO Tribute! Calling all GIs, Canteen Hostesses and Rosie the Riveters… Join Bob Hope and his traveling troop of entertainers including ‘The Andrews Sisters’, and many other compelling variety acts. Dr. Mark Green, author of the book “A Night with Saddam” will also speak about his 24-hour experience with Saddam Hussein after his capture. A scrumptious meal catered by Pam Johnson will also be featured.
Night on the Town Guests: 500 influential men and women who support NorthCrest Hospice and the NorthCrest Medical Center Foundation to raise money for the wonderful care and love that Hospice provides. (Attendance has more than quadrupled in size since the event’s inception).
Tributes: We are again offering our community to honor loved ones again, but with a military twist. Since the event theme is a USO Tribute, this is a wonderful way to honor veterans or active duty military while supporting NorthCrest Hospice. We will include honoree names in the Night on the Town program as well as send cards to honorees/their families acknowledging the tribute. At the event, instead of the normal Hospice butterfly, a flag will be placed on a live bush honoring the loved one. The cost for each tribute is a minimum donation of $10.00.
Tables: Cost per table of 10 is $500. This event is a sell out every year. To purchase a table or to sponsor this year’s event, return the attached form(s) or contact the Foundation by phone at 382-6048 or by e-mail at adele_watts@northcrest.com.
Benefactor: All proceeds will enable NorthCrest Hospice to provide skilled nursing care, medical social services, physician services, personal care aides, medication and supplies to terminally ill patients and their families, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, in the home setting. The team also provides grief support and counseling, and a unique summer camp for grieving children called Camp TAG (Teaching About Grief).
NorthCrest Hospice realizes that when faced with a terminal illness, many patients and family members may dwell on the imminent loss of life rather than making the most of the life that remains. NorthCrest Hospice helps patients reclaim the spirit of life. It helps them understand that even though death can lead to sadness, anger and pain, it can also lead to opportunities for reminiscence, laughter, reunion, and hope---hope that hospice will enable a patient to live his or her life to its fullest.
